How I handle your data.
No legalese, no boilerplate. Here is exactly what happens to anything you fill in on this site.
What I collect
When you fill in a form on this site, the homepage enquiry form or a personalised Discovery questionnaire, I collect the information you give me. That is typically your name, email address, business name, current website URL if you have one, and whatever you write in the message field.
Where it lives
Form submissions go through a small server function on Netlify and are saved in a Supabase database that only I can read. I also get an email notification when a new enquiry comes in. Netlify, Supabase and the email provider are all GDPR compliant providers with their own privacy policies. I do not run a separate marketing CRM or email sequence tool.
What I do with it
I read every enquiry myself, write a Discovery Pack if it looks like a fit, and follow up by email. I never share your details with anyone, sell them, or put them into automated marketing. There is no autoresponder funnel.
How long I keep it
Until you ask me to delete it. If we don't end up working together and you want me to remove your details, just email me and it is done within a day.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no tracking cookies. The only analytics I use is Plausible, a privacy-friendly UK and EU compliant analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and does not collect personal data. It tells me how many people visit which pages and where they came from, in aggregate.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see what I hold on you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just message me. I will respond within a day, usually within a few hours.
Contact
For any privacy question, email hello@sortmywebsite.co.uk or use the contact form on the homepage. The legal entity behind Sort My Website is DMS Global Consultancy Ltd, registered in England, based in Essex.
