Sort My Website is a trading name of DMS Global Consultancy Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 13563453, registered office 1386 London Road, Leigh On Sea, Essex, SS9 2UJ. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. Questions or requests: hello@sortmywebsite.co.uk.
We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising trackers on this site. We only send you marketing if you have asked for it or you are an existing customer being told about closely related services, and you can opt out any time by replying or emailing us.
Trusted suppliers who help us run the service, under their own strict obligations: hosting and infrastructure providers, our database provider, Google (Workspace email), Intuit QuickBooks (invoicing and payments) and messaging tools we use to get notified of your enquiry quickly. Some suppliers store data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We also share information where the law requires, for example with HMRC.
Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted or anonymised within 24 months. Client records, agreements and invoices are kept for 6 years after the end of the relationship, as tax and company law require. Portal messages and files are deleted within 12 months of your account closing unless you ask for them sooner.
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you think we have got something wrong, though we would rather you told us first so we can fix it. To use any of these rights, email hello@sortmywebsite.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
Sites and portals are served over HTTPS, access to client data is limited to the people who need it, and portal access is protected by a personal link and PIN. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable care and if anything ever went wrong that affected you, we would tell you promptly.
If we change this policy we will update the version and date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged to existing clients by email or in the portal.
